WAT FESTIVAL - Brand Identity

WAT FESTIVAL is one of the biggest Techno Festival based in Toulouse (FR). For this third edition, FHSP.COLLECTIVE has to work a new identity. Like other cities, Toulouse is slowly reinventing itself as a center of arts and culture. WAT FESTIVAL takes over the NINE CLUB for one big long night till the first lights of the morning, where festival-goers will be able to enjoy 5000m square, up to 4 different stages operated by international and locals artists. The festival promote also some scenography and mapping shows to create a unique and immersive experience.

FHSP.COLLECTIVE worked on this new narrative, sound and graphic edition. Wishing to position it as a purely unique event, we chose to reinforce the logo around personalized, massive lettering inspired by the digital time code, found on mostly all DJ equipments, to place the name of WAT FESTIVAL in the panorama Toulouse (and beyond) culture. We created a simple impactful 3D scene as if to crystalize the techno energy scene, surround by lasers in motion to shaped the real experience on site with the light show involved. We decided to use OFFBIT font to accentuate the binary and digital side of the graphic proposition blended with MONUMENT extended typeface to make sure that all informations as lineup will be instantly seen on any support.
